    CEO of Lodestone Energy

    Gary is highly experienced when it comes to the energy sector. He’s the driving force behind Lodestone’s vision to bring solar to the mainstream energy market. He’s worked for more than three decades across Aotearoa and Canada’s energy industries in infrastructure, generation, retail, and distribution.

    Prior to Lodestone, Gary was the CEO of Pulse Energy, a nationwide energy retailer. He was previously chief executive of the Wellington Power Company, Enmax, and TransAlta New Zealand, where he developed the Taranaki Combined Cycle and Otahuhu power plants.

    Country Manager - New Zealand at Bluefloat Energy

    As Country Manager, Nathan is responsible for offshore wind project development in New Zealand, leading the development of projects from site screening through to Final Investment Decision and beyond. Nathan manages site selection, consenting, development planning, and establishes and maintains relationships with strategic partners and key local stakeholders.

    Prior to joining BlueFloat Energy, Nathan was responsible for the planning and programme management of all grid works for Transpower New Zealand, the owner and operator of New Zealand’s national grid infrastructure. Nathan led a large, national team who coordinated the delivery of all maintenance and project activities (including new connections) valued at >$300M per annum in conjunction with internal teams and external contractors.

    Nathan has worked in the energy sector for over a decade in Brisbane, Perth, Singapore and Auckland. During his time with BG Group and Shell, Nathan was involved in the delivery and operation of various mega-projects, including the world’s first CSG-LNG Project (QCLNG) and Shell’s floating LNG facility in Western Australia (Prelude LNG). Nathan’s responsibilities included the negotiation and management of various infrastructure development agreements, joint venture agreements and commodity sale agreements (gas, LNG, power).

    Whilst in Singapore, Nathan was responsible for regional business development for Shell’s gas and power trading business. During this time, Nathan was focused on growing new businesses in liberalising energy markets and successfully launched new business opportunities in Malaysia and the Philippines whilst leading Shell’s efforts in developing new LNG import infrastructure in Pakistan. Nathan was also involved in various renewable generation projects led by Shell’s New Energies team and played an instrumental role in developing Shell’s power strategy for Asia.

    Nathan holds a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Queensland and Master of Laws from the University of Melbourne. Nathan started his career as a solicitor at leading Australian law firm King & Wood Mallesons where he primarily advised clients in the mining and energy sector on commercial transactions and disputes.

    Chloe has over seven years of experience in corporate and investment banking roles in New Zealand and Europe. Her experience relates to structured asset finance, project finance and debt arranging across the transport, infrastructure and energy sectors.

    In her spare time, Chloe is most likely planning her next trip away either traversing mountains or relaxing by the beach. Chloe’s other special skills include quoting The Office (US version).

    Mark Evans was appointed Country Head, Singapore in May 2022 with additional responsibility for South East Asia economies, including Indonesia, India, Malaysia, Philippines and UAE. As Country Head, Singapore, Mark is responsible for the overall business of ANZ Singapore across the Institutional, Corporate and Markets segments, and for driving connectivity between Singapore, ANZ's home markets of Australia and New Zealand and our international network.

    Prior to this appointment, he was Head of Strategic Planning and Execution, Institutional, based in Sydney where he was responsible for Strategic Delivery as well as Business Execution, Assurance, Data, Communications, Marketing and Banker Capability.

    Mark is an experienced banker and has held senior roles across relationship, product and operations. He joined ANZ in 2009 as Global Head of Trade and Supply Chain, and in 2013 was appointed ANZ’s Chief Compliance Officer. In this role he was responsible for developing and implementing a global compliance framework and ensuring high compliance standards in all the jurisdictions in which ANZ operates. Mark was then appointed Managing Director, Transaction Banking in 2016 where he was responsible for end-to-end Transaction Banking services – including payments, cash management, trade finance and supply chain finance solutions – across ANZ’s home markets of Australia and New Zealand and the bank’s footprint globally.

He has over 10 years’ experience in the banking sector across Project & Export Finance, Resources, Energy & Infrastructure, having worked in ANZ’s Institutional business across Australia, New York and now Singapore. Simon has extensive experience financing renewable and infrastructure projects across the US and Asia.

    Brendon is a Director in the Project Finance team at ANZ Institutional. He has over 13 years experience in the banking sector in New Zealand across Project Finance, Leverage Finance and Resources, Energy and Infrastructure. Brendon has an extensive background in financing renewable energy projects in New Zealand. Prior to ANZ, Brendon worked as a corporate solicitor in the UK and New Zealand.
