This update aims to present Indonesia's current investment and business climate including updates on implemented investment policies and the government's support. It will also discuss the investment potential in certain sectors and ready-to-offer projects from both the the Ministry of Investment/BKPM and the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce (KADIN).


Indonesia is projected to be the world's 4th largest economy by 2045, with a population of more than 300 million people, economic growth of 5-6 percent and Gross Domestic Product (GDP) of US$9.100 billion. For the past five years, investment in Indonesia grew steadily and remain as one of the top global FDI destinations. Indonesia continues to increase amounts of investment through various leading sectors contributing sustainable growth.

    Bapak Saribua has spent his entire career serving at the Ministry of Investment/BKPM.
    Now, he serves as Director of Investment Promotion for Southeast Asia, Australia, New Zealand, and the Pacific. His previous assignments included Director of Regional Promotion Facilitation and Director of Indonesia Investment Promotion Centre (IIPC) in Tokyo, Japan. His previous appointments also included Head of Regulation and Legislation Division, Head of Public Relation Division, and Head of Implementation and Controlling Division.

    He earned his Master’s degree in Management from the University of Atmajaya, Jakarta as well as Master of Business Law from the University of Padjajaran, Bandung.
