...is the theme for the 2022 and 4th annual ASEAN Business Alliance (ABA) Conference and we can't wait for you to join us!

The ABA Conference will run over two days - Tuesday 22 November (hybrid - Auckland and online) and Wednesday 23 November (online). Each session is 2 hours, from 3pm-5pm NZT with Day 1 providing a networking event after the conference. 

Our speakers from New Zealand and across ASEAN will be speaking both in person, and virtually from Jakarta, Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, Bangkok and Auckland on a range of foundation and emerging business issues, including;
  • Sustainability; people, construction and financial models
  • Value chains; connecting ASEAN and your business
  • The future of food
  • What drives an ASEAN consumer?
  • Retail in ASEAN; current and future trends
  • Cross-border expansion; tips and tricks

To launch the ABA Conference, the ABA together with our event partner SEA CAPE, are delighted to announce the ABA Conference Launch Event (online) on Wednesday 19 October, from 5:30pm to 6:15pm NZT. 

We welcome three guest speakers to the event :

  • H.E Stuart Calman, New Zealand's Ambassador to ASEAN, who will provide an update on New Zealand trade with ASEAN, including ASEAN Economic Community progress, AANZFTA upgrade, and its relevance for NZ business.
  • Andrew Bayly, Founder and Owner of Emec Technology, and ABA Chair, based in Malaysia.
  • Professor Siah Hwee Ang, Director of New Zealand's Southeast Asia Centre of Asia-Pacific Excellence (SEA CAPE).

Liz Bell, Executive Director of ANZBC, will moderate the Launch event.

Attendees can also expect to hear about :

  • Snapshot of the findings of the recent ABA Trade Survey.
  • The NZ/ASEAN wider relationship ad how this impacts business.
  • What participants can expect from the ABA Conference in November.
  • What the ABA Conference will deliver in terms of speakers and panelists.

You will also have an opportunity to ask your questions in a Q & A session after the discussion.
